Which permit can I buy?
The City bases annual permit access on residency, and it notes that a Boca Raton address does not necessarily mean you live within City limits. Annual fees for a Class 1 vehicle, as of October 1, 2026:
- City of Boca Raton and Greater Boca Raton Beach and Park District residents: $90, valid at Spanish River Park, Red Reef Park, South Beach Park and Mizner Bark.
- Palm Beach County residents outside those areas: $108, valid at South Beach Park only. The City's FAQ explains that South Beach is a county park, which is why county residents can buy a permit for it.
- Residents of other counties or states: no annual permit; pay the daily rate.[1][3]
What does it cost without an annual permit?
Daily beach entry, as of October 1, 2026, is $40 on weekdays and $55 on weekends and holidays for a Class 1 vehicle (cars, motorcycles and minivans up to 11 passengers). Class 2 vehicles such as trucks, cargo vans and buses pay $95 on weekdays and $140 on weekends and holidays, and a trailer adds $35. A daily entrance is valid only at the park where you buy it.
Beginning October 1, 2026, the beach park gatehouses no longer accept cash; they take debit and credit cards, Google Pay and Apple Pay. Annual permits run October 1 through September 30, are not prorated, and are not valid at metered parking spaces.[1][2][3]
How do I buy one and what should I bring?
First confirm your residency on the City's Residency Map. Online purchase requires an active WebTrac account and is available only if you bought a beach, boat or dog permit in the last two years; mailed permits carry a $10 processing fee (as of 2026). Otherwise, buy in person at the Boca Raton Community Center (150 Crawford Blvd), the Sugar Sand Park Community Center (300 S. Military Trail) or the Swim & Racquet Community Center (21618 St. Andrews Blvd).
Bring a current Florida ID showing your resident address. If your ID is from another state or shows a different address, bring a photo ID plus one original document such as a City water bill, FPL bill, long-term lease, notarized condo association letter, recent property tax bill or voter registration card. For each vehicle, bring proof of ownership such as a registration, title, bill of sale, lease agreement or insurance card.[2][4]
