West Palm Beach
Overview
West Palm Beach is the county seat of Palm Beach County and the urban anchor of the county's central coast. Set on the western shore of the Lake Worth Lagoon, directly across from the island of Palm Beach, it combines a working downtown with historic residential neighborhoods.
Lifestyle
Clematis Street and the downtown waterfront host dining, events, and the weekly green market, while the Kravis Center and the Norton Museum of Art anchor the cultural scene. Marinas and the Intracoastal waterfront keep boating and outdoor life close to the city center.
Housing
The city offers downtown high-rise condominiums with lagoon views, early-twentieth-century homes in historic districts such as El Cid and Flamingo Park, and a wide range of neighborhoods extending west. The mix spans everything from restored historic houses to new construction.
