Lighthouse Point
Overview
Lighthouse Point is a small, primarily residential city in northeastern Broward County, tucked between Pompano Beach and Deerfield Beach. It takes its name from the nearby Hillsboro Inlet Lighthouse and is known for its quiet, well-kept canal neighborhoods.
Lifestyle
Life here revolves around the water: many homes sit on deep-water canals with dockage, and boating to the Hillsboro Inlet and the Intracoastal is part of the daily rhythm. Dining and shopping cluster along Federal Highway, while beaches in Deerfield and Pompano are minutes away.
Housing
The housing stock is dominated by single-family homes, many of them waterfront properties along the canal system, with a smaller selection of townhomes and low-rise condominiums. Much of the city was built out in the mid-twentieth century, and many homes have been renovated or rebuilt over time.
